Historical term for longer-horizon planning, largely replaced by PI Planning in SAFe and continuous planning elsewhere.

Used in early Scrum scaling (XP, early Scrum at scale). Less common today — replaced by PI Planning (SAFe) or continuous refinement (LeSS, Nexus).
