Component Teams

Teams organized around technical layers (frontend, backend, database) rather than end-to-end features.

Component teams own a technical layer and must hand off to other teams to complete a user-visible feature. LeSS treats them as an anti-pattern; SAFe permits them for shared platforms; Scrum and Nexus don't name them but discourage them implicitly through the cross-functional requirement.
